My abiding memory of Mary is that when I first knew her, she told me that she stood on her head each morning as a sort of exercise. I had never been able to stand on my head so was much impressed as was my husband who when Mary had gone, attempted to stand on his own head. He was successful but all the coins dropped out of his pockets, leaving me the richer, thanks to Mary! Elaine xx
